Tracey Whitton RMN

Tracey has been a Mental Health Nurse for twenty seven years with extensive experience working in inpatient Adult Acute, Intensive Care Psychiatric Unit and Rehabilitation. In 2004 she moved to Weston Day Hospital where the focus of her work became one-to-one counselling and group interventions. In 2014 she attended a four day Mindfulness training programme at Playfield Institute. Recognising the potential benefits to her Day Hospital patients she trained with NES as a Mindfulness trainer and has developed an eight week Mindfulness programme, facilitating fifteen groups since 2015.

Alongside her work with in the NHS, Tracey is currently seconded to work within a Cluster of GP practices delivering mindfulness to clients that are not supported through mental health services, to identify if this can prevent referral and possibly reduce GP input.
